From the Director’s Desk

Agroforestry interventions in farmland have far-reaching environmental and ecological impacts. The role of agroforestry in soil conservation, bio-amelioration, and climate moderation is most widely acclaimed. Agroforestry is known to have the potential to mitigate climate change through micro-climate moderation, natural resources management in the short run, and through carbon sequestration in the long run. Agroforestry has a great potential to provide employment to rural and urban populations through industrial application and value addition.
